Julia is an elegant and powerful mare with exceptional talent. Julia competed in the jumper and dressage ring with an amateur always scoring in the 70’s in 3rd level. Julia is approved in the Holsteiner Main Mare Book. Her sire Landslide was imported from Holstein in 1986 and was shown by Katie Monahan-Prudent before being put exclusively to breeding. In 1998 Landslide received the National Brickenden Stallion Award for the top performing offspring in Canada and was given the status of Silver Premium Stallion. Landslide produced numerous outstanding show jumpers including Landlady who won gold with the US Team in the Pan American Games, Lemir who won the Casino de Hou Power Derby in Ottawa and other numberous Wold Cup Placings and Laura HB currently competing and winning Grand Prix’s in Europe. Landslide sire Landgraf I, labeled “The Stallion of the Century”, has securely anchored his gens in the modern sporthorse. His offsprings have won over seven million dollars mainly in show jumping. Landgraf had a very good temperament which he passed on dominantly, with excellent movement. In the Stallion Book of the Hosteiner Breed, Dr. Dietrich Rossow comments “Imposing appearance with enormous crest and neck carriage. Smooth total top line and much presence. Beautiful face with marvelous eys. Long, rather broad neck, long sloping shoulder. Well shaped, muscular croup. Strong bone, Good in front. Good mover. Marvellous temperament. Phenomenal jumper; tight in front, lots of bascule, careful and talented”. Up to now Landgraf is by far the most important jumper sire in the world!”. His offsprings have won more than 6 million D Marks including Olympic medalists and World Champions. Landgraf was born in 1966 and past away in 1996. On the dam side, Goldstern is a leading sire of competition horses with 35 advance show jumpers. Of his younger crops Glorieux, the Oldenburg champion stallion of 1987, German Riding Horse champion of 1988 and reserve champion of the 1989 stallion performance test, is without a doubt his most popular descendant. The approved stallion Goldfurst is successfully competing in dressage up to Grand Prix level in the USA. Goldstern's sire, Gotthard was the most popular sire of show jumpers in the seventies. Ever since a statistical record of progeny winnings were established in 1975, he had been the leading stallion for show jumping for 7 consecutive years. Goldstern's dam sire Waidmannsdank is a guarantee for rideability and today he exerts an enormous influence via his daughters who produced Akzent II and Gardeulan I & II.
